Exportable — Privacy Policy

The short version

Exportable does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. Ever.

What the extension does with page data

When you click the Exportable icon, it reads the tables on the page you are currently viewing and converts them to CSV, Excel, Markdown, or clipboard text entirely on your computer. The extracted data goes directly to your clipboard or your downloads folder. It is never sent to us or to any third party. The extension has no server, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What is stored locally

• Your Pro license key (if you buy one) is stored in your browser's extension storage so you stay activated.
• In-progress multi-page captures are held in temporary session storage and discarded when your browser closes.

The one network request that can happen

If you activate Exportable Pro, your license key is sent once to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) to verify the purchase. This happens only when you click "Activate", requires your explicit permission at that moment, and sends nothing except the license key itself. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to that request. If you never activate Pro, the extension makes no network requests at all.

Permissions explained

• activeTab / scripting — read tables from the current tab, only when you click the icon.
• clipboardWrite — the "Copy" buttons.
• storage — the two local items listed above.
• api.gumroad.com (optional) — license verification, requested only if you activate Pro.
